Calhoun Police lead meth bust

A Calhoun woman was arrested after police found two duffle bags containing chemical used to make methamphetamine at her apartment.

Calhoun Police patrol officers were called to 145 Viking Drive, Apartment 21 on Aug. 4 after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival officers spoke with the Afton Mckenzie Rash, 27, the apartment resident. After a search of the apartment’s exterior officers found two duffle bags containing various household chemicals.

Calhoun patrol officers contacted Calhoun Special Operations Detectives who determined that the items in the bags were the components used to make methamphetamine.

The CPD had the chemicals removed and Rash, age 27 of 145 Viking Drive Apartment 21 was arrested. Authorities are still seeking two individuals who were observed leaving the scene.

The CPD Special Operations Unit is continuing to investigate.
