Shaw Industries Group, Inc. has commenced operations at a new, state-of-the-art rug distribution facility in Ringgold.

Plant 37 provides Shaw Living, Shaw’s rug division, with a more efficient and state-of-the-art automated packaging system and puts all distribution methods under the same roof.

This new facility contains over 600,000 square feet with computerized, convenient and consolidated shipping technology. These capabilities will provide Shaw Living customers with more timely service and ensure on-time delivery. The automated packing system will increase efficiencies.

“This facility is a commitment to the future of our rug division,” says Jeff Brown, VP of Shaw Living. “We will be moving product as fast and efficiently as we can to satisfy our customers and improve our own effectiveness as a company.”

Plant 37 began operations in May of this year. Shaw Living says that the facility is currently 95 percent through the completion stage and will reach its full operating capacity in August of this year.
