Dr. and Mrs. Edward Miron of Dakar, Senegal, formerly of Calhoun are happy to announce the en-gagement of their daughter, Rachel Miron, to Captain Jonathan Fields, son of Mr. Steve Fields of Bloomington, Indiana and Mrs. Ginger Beatty of Worthington, Indiana.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2008 graduate of Indiana Univer-sity. She attends the Medical University of South Carolina Charleston, graduate program in Occupa-tional Therapy.



The groom is a 1997 graduate of White River Valley High School in Switz, Indiana, a 2001 gradu-ate of Indiana University and a 2009 graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law. As an officer in the United States Army he has served worldwide, including Iraq, where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He is assigned to Fort Stewart in Savannah, Georgia as an attorney in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corp. A March wedding is planned in Savannah.
