The Sonoraville High School competition cheer leading team, led by Head Coach Cassie Worley, held the Future Phoenix Cheer Camp over the past week.

Many young girls between the ages of three and 12 showed up at the Sonoraville Rock Gym where they were taught some of the basic fundamentals of cheerleading.

The basic skill set being taught included cheers, chants, dancing, tumbling and spirit.

“I hope the kids have fun and can take the spirit to basketball games and football games, and back to their individual schools,” said Worley.

Among the instructors at the camp were competition cheer leading seniors Lupe Gonzales, Morgan Partlow, Carson Gibbs, Erica Glass and Kayla Coker.
