Calhoun woman injured in collison with tractor-trailer

A Calhoun woman is in serious condition at Erlanger Medical Center following a two-vehicle wreck on Mauldin Road Tuesday.

According to Calhoun Police: An Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Rhonda Brock of Calhoun and a J.B. Hunt tractor-trailer driven by Frederick Spencer of Rome were involved in the wreck at the intersection of Mauldin Road and C.L. Moss Parkway at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they found Brock trapped in the Oldsmobile. Calhoun Fire Department and emergency personnel extricated her from her vehicle. Brock was life-flighted to the Chattanooga hospital with multiple injuries.

She remains at Erlanger, where she is listed in serious condition. Spencer was not injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Calhoun Police Department.
