“The Shaw Family Health Center is the next step in making Shaw a world-class company to work for, which is an important factor as the company is recruiting new talent and retaining the talent that we already have on board,” said Paul Richard, Vice President of Human Resources. “The new center will increase associates’ accessibility to high quality, affordable care while expanding their health and wellness knowledge base. We strive to prepare our associates to make informed decisions – designing a sensible diet plan, incorporating exercise, for example – that will lead to better health.”
The Shaw Family Health Center will offer a full spectrum of quality care, including acute care, routine physicals, immunizations, preventative screenings, lab work, and wellness services. QuadMed will operate and manage the health center and is currently recruiting providers including a physician, mid-level practitioners, and wellness, physical rehabilitation and nursing staff.
“By adding another high quality health care option to the Dalton-Whitfield County community, we can increase the likelihood that associates will seek medical care when necessary,” said Eddie Reeves, Director of Human Resources Operations.
Construction is underway and is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
