ROCK HILL, S.C. — Tusculum College sophomore Kate Hutchinson, a former Calhoun High standout, has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending March 3, the conference office announced Monday.

Hutchinson won a singles and doubles match to lead the Pioneers to a 7-2 victory over previously-unbeaten Milligan on Wednesday afternoon. She won a three-set decision at number-one singles against Grace Sarver in a tiebreaker by scores of 6-4, 4-6 (12-10), after teaming with partner Adrienne Kaye at number-two doubles for an 8-5 victory over Rachel Hodas and Halie Winfrey.

Hutchinson is 4-2 in singles and 4-1 in doubles for the Pioneers, who are 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the SAC.
