Gift of Seasons opened its doors in downtown Calhoun Monday to host a ribbon cutting marking the openeing of the new store as a member of the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce.

Owned by Wanda and Billy Deal, the new store is a sister store to Country Friends on Red Bud Rd. Gift of Seasons, located at 109 Court St., offers commercial embroidery services as well as bridal and baby shower registries.

The shop marked the first ribbon cutting of the year for the chamber, according to Kim Gallman with the chamber.

Present at the ribbon cutting was President of the Chamber of Commerce Jimmy Phillips, Chair of the Board of Directors Kenny Fuquea, as well as Suzanne Roland with the Downtown Development Authority, among others.

The ribbon cutting ceremony served to promote the 100 members in 100 days campaign of the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce.
