Get out your flip-flops and beach gear and join Kiwanis for their first Beach Party Bowl-A-Rama. The date is Saturday, March 9 at the Calhoun Bowling Center.

It’s simple to participate. Just recruit a team of five bowlers who each agree to raise at least $50 for the Kiwanis Club of Calhoun (that’s asking 5 people for $10) for a team goal of $250. There is no entry fee. All bowlers will bowl two games, receive shoes, and each team will receive a team picture. Bowling times are 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The school and/or administration that receives the most donations will receive a plaque with its team picture(s). The company or community organization that receives the most donations will also receive a plaque with team picture(s). To the team with the highest score, as well as prizes for the high male and high female score. There will be door prizes and a prize for the best dressed team.

Corporate sponsorships are $500 and include one bowling team and the media package. Bowling for Kids Sponsorships are $250 and this donation sponsors a kid’s team from the Calhoun/Gordon County Boys and Girls Club. Thanks to the sponsors who have already committed their support.

Corporate Sponsors: Calhoun/Gordon County Literacy Council.

Bowling for Kids Sponsors: Winter & Scogging, Family Savings Credit Union, and Steven R. Fehlenberg, and Wholesale Food Outlet and Team Sponsor: George Chambers Resource Center.

All donations go to support Kiwanis Club scholarships for area students, the Milk, Bread and Egg program for Tallatoona Neighborhood Community Action Partnership, and a host of local charities serving kids.

Please join us for a day of bowling fun for your employees, co-workers, friends and/or family. To register your team, call Judy Norris at 706-266-7383 or email jnorris@georgia.ja.org. High score awards will be given.
