Willie was born on August 8, 1922 in Bartow County. She was the daughter of the late James Wilson and Janie Turner Wilson. Willie attended the First Baptist Church of Fairmount and Pleasant Grove (RYO) Baptist Church. She was formerly an employee of Lay Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry T. Hobgood, Sr.
Survivors include: two sons, Harry T. Hobgood, Jr. of Woodinville, Wash., and Jerry R. Hobgood of Fairmount. Eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Quarrels officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove (RYO) Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include: Brian Bohannon, Trace Hobgood, Karry Hobgood and Greg Dodd.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
