She was born July 26, 1917 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Harvey Stansell and Flora Whitecotton Stansell and was preceded in death by her husband, Ford Roberts, sisters, Ruby Lee Stansell and Jewell Stinson and brother, Boyd Stansell. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her stepchildren Carlton Roberts of Dallas, and daughter in law, Betty Roberts of Calhoun. Grandchildren, Wesley Roberts of Calhoun, Timothy Roberts of Powder Springs, Sharon Margolin of Powder Springs, and Janet Rolin of Dallas. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, sister, Christine Legg of Fayetteville and special niece and nephew and caregivers, Charlotte and Ron Blaylock of Dalton. Other nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation for Mrs. Roberts will be at Thomas Funeral Home Wednesday February 13 from 12 until 2 p.m. with a private family service to follow with Rev. Ron Bankson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Chapel Church Cemetery.
