Seth Pierce Johnson was named to the Dean's List with distinction at Duke University for the Fall 2012 semester with a 4.0 GPA.

Johnson was among 2,170 students who achieved that honor (1,488 on the Dean's List, 682 on the Dean's List with distinction). He is majoring in Philosophy with a double major in Political Science. He is a 2012 graduate of Calhoun High School.

To make the Arts and Sciences Dean's List, students must rank in the top third of their college; for Dean's List with distinction, the top tenth of their college.

At the Pratt SChool of Engineering, students must rank in the top third within their academic class to make the Dean's List; for Dean's List with distinction, the top tenth within their academic class.

Johnson is the son of Mike and Tammye Johnson of Calhoun.
