  • WMBW radio, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., is celebrating 40 years of broadcasting this year. As part of that celebration the station is visiting many of the areas seved by the station as part of their “Countdown to 40” celebration, On Wednesday, Jan. 30 they will be broad-casting from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Calhoun at Prater Ford, Inc. Listeners and friends are in-vited to stop by Prater Ford during the celebration, and while visiting the station staff will share on of their celebration gifts as a way of saying thank you for being a Moody Radio listener.

  • The Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, is offering advocacy training on the following dates: Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Alzheimer's Association, North Georgia Regional Office 922 E. Morris Street, Dalton, and on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Rome/Floyd County Library, Oostanaula Room, 205 Riverside Parkway NE, Rome. The training is to prepare advocates for dialogue with state legislators during Alz-heimer's Awareness Day Wednesday, Feb. 27.
