Alleged thief caught stuck in mud at crime scene

Justin L. Shutley, 24, of Dalton was arrested Friday, Jan. 18 after getting stuck in the mud in the front yard of a house he allegedly robbed, according to a press release from the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.

According to reports, deputies responded to a private residence on Roland Hayes Pkwy in reference to a suspicious vehicle report, where they discovered Shutley.

Deputies discovered items taken from the home within the van, and arrested Shutley for Burglary. Shutley was released on a $10,000 bond from the Gordon County Jail.
