Entertainment event to benefit at-risk children

Posters are going up and tickets are on sale for “An Evening of Love and Laughter” event on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Harris Arts Center.

The event supports the Family Resource Center’s home visitation programs for at-risk children ages 0-5 years and their families. It is being organized by the Prevent Child Abuse Gordon County Board members.

This event has been planned to provide an elegant and entertaining evening in time for celebrating Valentine’s Day although it isn’t limited to just couples, everyone can enjoy the evening. Guests will enjoy a full evening of activities including three of Gordon County’s talented young pianists who will play throughout the evening, catering by David Burton, and comedian Michelle Miller Harrington.

Several items will be offered in a live auction including four Disney World Hopper passes and a weekend retreat in the Highlands! There will also be a silent auction with one of a kind jewelry and photographs, popular sports memorabilia, athletic passes and much more!
