A flat bed carrying sod and a tanker carrying corn syrup were in an accident yesterday afternoon that shut down South River St.

The tanker was traveling South on River St., when the transfer carrying sod allegedly ran the red light coming East on Line St. and struck the tanker in the back right side, according to eye witnesses.

The tanker had damage at the rear axle, fender and tank area. The transfer carrying sod had damage to the front end.

None of the product that either truck was carrying was lost, but the driver of the sod truck left the scene to go to the Owasa Medical Office to be checked out for a complaint of injury.
