Mr. Dean was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. He was employed as an Electronics Engineer during his lifetime.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Connie Dean, Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Rodney and Tess Dean of Oak Ridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Mark Gungor of Canada; a brother, Eddie Dean of Anderson, S.C.; and three sisters, Jean Harrington and her husband Jay of Milledgeville, Ga., Charlene Tillery and her husband Ronnie of Somerset, Ky., and Fredia Kirby of Calhoun. Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Curtis Dean, Sr. were held Thursday, January 24 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Max “Bud” Fuller officiating. Cremation followed the service.
The Dean family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1 p.m.
