A.C. was born on August 6, 1939 in Hamilton County, Tenn. He was the son of the late Claude A. Kirby and Lucille Burchett Kirby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his brother, James Kirby; and sister, Gail Reece.
Survivors include: his wife Freida Kirby; son, Keith Jones and his wife Kim; four daughters: Karen Miner and her husband Bruce, Keena McEntyre and her husband Mark, Kristi Lumpkin and her husband Cliff, and Jan Allen and her husband Charlie; sister, Faye Goodnight and her husband Tommy all of Calhoun; eighteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 12 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Ricky Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwood Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Pallbearers serving include: Shaun Brehm, Isaac McEntyre, Marcus Garner, Christopher Garner, Michael Miner, Mitchell Miner, Jody Childers and Anthony Robinson.
