Mr. Charles Leonard Goswick, 85, of College Street, Adairsville and most recently at Gordon Health Care Center, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 24, 2012.

Mr. Goswick was born in Whitfield County, June 24, 1927, son of the late Marion and Bess Lee (Owen) Goswick. He had worked several jobs including Kuhlman’s Chenille and then retired from Union Carbide in Cartersville. Mr. Goswick was a member of Adairsville United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Paul and Harold Goswick and a sister, Beatrice Moulton.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eddie Cochran Goswick; a daughter, Bobbi Faye Silvers of Adairsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Theresa Goswick of Adairsville; 2 sisters, Clara Nell Smith of Dalton and Joyce Smith of Chatsworth; a brother, Robert Goswick of Rocky Face; grandchildren, Brian Goswick, Jeff and Cheri Goswick, Josh and Jennifer Goswick, and Judd Goswick; 8 great-grandchildren, a great great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. William Cody officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Honorary pallbearers include his grandsons, Brian Goswick, Jeff Goswick, Judd Goswick, Josh Goswick, and great grandsons, Kyle Heath.

The family received friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
