He is survived by his wife, Linda Evans Wilson of the residence; Mother: Anna Wilson of Resaca, Georgia; three daughters and son-in-laws: Lisa and Keith Greeson of Calhoun, Georgia; Marlene and Tim Ogles of Rocky Face, Georgia and Tonia and Curtis Wilson of Resaca, Georgia; two brothers: Arvil Wilson of and Willie Wilson both of Resaca, Georgia; two sisters and brother-in-law: Mary and Wayne Bartley of Chatsworth and Arzilla Baggett of Resaca, Georgia; Six grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services to celebrate the life of James Robert Wilson will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Timms officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Flat Branch Baptist Church cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia with Brandon Greeson, Hunter Mulkey, Daniel Bartley, Earl Bartley, Jim Bartley and Michael Bartley serving as pallbearers. Tommy Land and Matthew Bartley will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 300 West Emery Street, Dalton, Georgia 30720
The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour.
