Anne Pitts, CASA program director, calls winner Glen Blaylock to inform him of his prize. Blaylock confessed to purchasing his raffle ticket from the Chamber of Commerce in hopes to win it for his two-year-old granddaughter.
Proud winner of the CASA playhouse was Glen Blaylock, who says he plans to give the playhouse to this two-year-old granddaughter.
The raffle took place at noon in front of Beth and Co. with taffle tickets for $5 each or $20 for five tickets. Carpentry students at Calhoun High School built the CASA playhouse, with all proceeds benefiting the PCA of Gordon County.
For children in foster care, their world has been turned upside down. They are often confused and scared. When they are assigned a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, they have an advocate who will work to be sure their voice is heard and that they are treated with dignity and respect.
CASA works in partnership with PCA Gordon County, as well as on this project to raise funds for the agency.
