The CASA Playhouse on displayed in front of Beth and Co, to raise funds for Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Gordon County and their programs, was auctioned off Friday, Dec. 14.

Proud winner of the CASA playhouse was Glen Blaylock, who says he plans to give the playhouse to this two-year-old granddaughter.

The raffle took place at noon in front of Beth and Co. with taffle tickets for $5 each or $20 for five tickets. Carpentry students at Calhoun High School built the CASA playhouse, with all proceeds benefiting the PCA of Gordon County.

For children in foster care, their world has been turned upside down. They are often confused and scared. When they are assigned a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, they have an advocate who will work to be sure their voice is heard and that they are treated with dignity and respect.

CASA works in partnership with PCA Gordon County, as well as on this project to raise funds for the agency.

The following businesses donated of time and talent that have made the dream of a CASA Playhouse come true: Calhoun High School CTAE construction class, CHS Skills USA program, Calhoun Home Depot, Gordon Building Supply, Dalton Wholesale Floors, Carroll Towing and Recovery, Gordon County I.T. Dept., and Beth and Co.
