These are not your typical Dickens! “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of A Christmas Carol” presented by Acts of Random Theatre is taking the GEM Theatre stage December 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

When the ladies of Farndale get their hands on A Christmas Carol anything can happen. Mounting an assault on this classic, the ladies portray a dizzying array of characters created by Charles Dickens (and a few which aren’t). With their bumbling charm, the Farndale ladies plunge through a series of miscues, misunderstandings and mishaps leaving the audience to wonder if they will ever think of Tiny Tim and the ghosts of Christmas the same way again.

With missing actors, and a special appearance by Santa Claus, the ladies engineer some novel audience participation while bravely contending with an intrusive public announcement system. A cash bar will be available for further enjoyment.

For tickets and more information call (706) 625-3132 or visit www.calhoungem.org or the GEM box office open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3 – 6 p.m.
