Ms. Verlon Fisher Harper, 66, of Calhoun, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Summit Health and Rehabilitation in Rome, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Harper, parents, Jesse Fisher and Christian Evans Fisher, seven brothers and five sisters also predeceased her in death.

Survivors are one son, Donnie (JoAnne) Sims of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Brett Hudson, Courtney Hudson, Taylor Hudson, and Avery Hudson; two sisters, A. Ruth King and Linda Joyce McDaniel of Calhoun; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Ms. Verlon Harper were held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. from New Beginnings Ministries Church of God in Christ with Pastor W. R. Floyd officiating. The family received friends at the Church one hour before the service. Interment, Colbert Cemetery.
