The Jackets won the coin toss on Saturday morning for the right to host Lamar County at Phil Reeve Stadium in the fourth round of the state playoffs. (A coin toss was used to determine home field since both teams were No. 1 seeds.)
Calhoun (13-0) continued their run toward a second straight state title on Friday with a 49-14 win over Brooks County, who was believed to be the toughest test yet for the Jackets.
Taylor Lamb threw for 366 yards and four TDs, and ran for two more, and Alex Urbano had a 99-yard TD run of his own in the win over the Trojans.
With a win this Friday over Lamar County, Calhoun would advance to the state title game at the Georgia Dome for a fifth straight season.
