Calhoun Middle School sixth-graders visited the Fernbank Museum recently.

Through interactive exhibits, they learned about weather forecasting, light prisms, blind spots, and properties of matter.

Through display exhibits, they learned about different cultures of the world, the history of Georgia, and evolving technology.

Through films and demonstrations, they learned about arctic survival of native animals and plate tectonics.

The Fernbank Museum is located in Atlanta.

It is open weekdays and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information visit www.fernbankmuseum.org.
