Listed below are the players that appeared in the box score from their teams’ games in Week 11 of the college season:
Nash Nance, Hampden-Sydney, Calhoun alum
Nance had a big day for the Tigers in a 41-31 loss ot Randolph-Macon. The junior quarterback went 17-of-30 passing for 293 yards and a touchdown through the air. He also had 119 yards rushing on six carries and two TDs on the ground, including a 79-yard touchdown run.
Shorter, Calhoun alum
Strickland had one solo tackle in the Hawks’ 32-21 win over Delta State on Saturday at Barron Stadium in Rome. The win wrapped up a 6-5 season in Shorter’s first year in the NCAA Division II.
Josh White, Shorter, Calhoun alum
White had three solo tackles and two assists for a total of five in Shorter’s win over Delta State on Saturday.
Da’Rick Rogers, Tennessee Tech, Calhoun alum
Rogers had five catches for 80 yards in Tennessee Tech’s 45-44 overtime win over rival Tennessee-Martin.
Adam Urbano, Tennessee Tech, Calhoun alum
Urbano had one catch for eight yards in the Golden Eagles’ dramatic victory over Tennessee-Martin.
Rhett McGowan, Georgia, Calhoun alum
McGowan handled punt return duties for the Bulldogs in their 38-0 win over Auburn on Saturday. He didn’t get a chance at a return but managed to haul all five punts in on fair catches.
Ty Frix, Georgia, Calhoun alum
Frix handled all snapping duties on field goals, PATs and punts in the Georgia win over Auburn on Saturday. He helped kicker Marshall Morgan go 5-for-5 on extra points and also convert a 20-yard field goal.
