As part of the Wells Fargo Days of Giving, United Way of Gordon County received a gift of $1,000.00 for the 2013 United Way Fund Campaign.

The contribution will go toward meeting the $550,000.00 annual goal this year. Wells Fargo provides each branch an opportunity to give back to their local community.

“Wells Fargo is a wonderful community partner for United Way. Wells Fargo sponsored the Unity Run for several years and employees are involved in the allocation process each year which helps determine funding for the agencies,” Executive Director of the United Way Vickie Spence said. “Wells Fargo is one of the many financial institutions that supports United Way, the 18 partner agencies, and assists the community in a variety of ways.”

This is the second year Wells Fargo has selected United Way of Gordon County, and by giving to United Way of Gordon County, Wells Fargo is actually contributing to 18 partner agencies working in Gordon County.

“Wells Fargo employees are involved in their own United Way employee campaign and the employees’ contributions are also matched by Wells Fargo,” according Darlene Johns, Assistant Vice President of the Calhoun Wells Fargo Bank.
