The Dixie Group Inc. today announced it has acquired the Colormaster carpet dyeing facility in Calhoun from Lineage PCR Inc.

Jon Faulkner, Dixie’s chief financial officer, said the 200,000-square-foot facility will be folded into Dixie’s operations. The plant employs about 60 people, he said, and it will focus on supporting Dixie’s residential side of its operations.

Faulkner declined to reveal the cost of the plant.

Chattanooga-based Dixie is a marketer and manufacturer of carpet and rugs to higher-end residential and commercial customers through the Fabrica International, Masland Carpets, Dixie Home, Masland Contract and Whitespace brands.
