Nash Nance, Hampden-Sydney, Calhoun alum
Nance had a huge day in the Tigers’ 68-24 win over Guilford, going 22-of-35 passing for 309 yards and five touchdowns through the air.
Mason Strickland, Shorter, Calhoun alum
Strickland had two solos and one assist for a total of three tackles in Shorter’s loss to Valdosta State last Thursday. He also had a pass breakup in the game.
Adam Urbano, Tennessee Tech, Calhoun alum
Urbano rushed for 15 yards on six carries in the Golden Eagles’ 22-21 loss to rival Tennessee State on Saturday. Urbano’s teammates Da’Rick Rogers and Tre Lamb, also former Calhoun standouts, each missed the game due to injury.
Ty Frix, Georgia, Calhoun alum
Frix once again handled all snapping duties on punts, field goals and extra points for Georgia in their 17-9 win over Florida on Saturday. He helped kicker Marshall Morgan kick two extra points and convert a 29-yard field goal.
Tyler Thacker, Univ. of the Cumberlands, Sonoraville alum
Thacker, the starting center for the Patriots, helped his team run for 395 yards on the ground in a 62-19 win over Campbellsville (Kent.).
