Mrs. Jones was born on June 13, 1958, daughter of the late David Benny Burchett and Kathy Avon Smith Burchett of Murray County. She was a personal care assistant with Courageous Home Care.
Survivors include a daughter, Brieanna Jones; mother, Kathy Smith Burchett; two granddaughters, Zoe and Stormi Ingle; a brother, Douglas Smith; godparents, Bobby and Bessie Durham, all of Murray County; and a very special friend, Rick Dutton of Calhoun. Aunts, uncles and other relatives also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Peggy Sue “Susie” Jones were held Friday, October 26 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating.
The Jones family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m.
