John William (Bubba) Patterson

Mr. John William (Bubba) Patterson, 24, of Summerville, Ga. died Monday, October 8, 2012 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born in Savannah, Ga. on September 28, 1988, son of John Darryl Patterson and Connie Davis Patterson. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry Vasco Stewart and Doris Lanier.

Bubba was employed with Echota Fabrics in Calhoun. He was a member of the South Calhoun Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica Barker Patterson of the home; children, Skyler Patterson, Waylon Patterson, and John Dylan Patterson; parents, John Darryl Patterson and Connie Davis Patterson of Summerville; a brother, Joseph David Patterson of Summerville; grandmother, Elizabeth Stewart of Cartersville; aunts and uncles, Carl Gazaway of Sugar Valley, Trudy and Donnie Jones of Resaca, Billy and Rhonda Davis of Cartersville, Bubba and Christy Stewart of Calhoun, Tony and Renee Sanchez of Tyrone, Ga., David Headrick of Tunnel Hill, DeDi Patterson of Marietta, Jamie Robinson of Griffin, and Jean and Jim Holder of Jacksonville, Fla. Cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. John William (Bubba) Patterson were held Saturday, October 13 at 11 a.m. from the South Calhoun Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Bowman officiating. Interment followed in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Brent Stahl, Michael Jablonoski, Bubba Stewart, Melvin McDaniel, Ryan Ramza, Kody Parker, and Victor Shropshire. Jeremy Gregory served as honorary pallbearer.

The Patterson family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 5-9 p.m.
