Eighth grade science students at Sonoraville Middle School conducted a study on force and motion by having a balloon rocket race to demonstrate Newton’s third law of motion: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

Students investigated the relationship between force, mass, and the motion of objects, and to demonstrate the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on objects.
