Calhoun City Schools announced its continued partnership with Gordon Hospital in hopes of working together to build a healthy learning environment for each and every student.

“Providing a full range of medical services and specialties to the Gordon County and Calhoun Communities, our small town is extremely fortunate to be blessed with caring, dedicated medical staff and medical personnel at Gordon Hospital,” said Calhoun City Schools spokesman Peter Coombe.

“With a common goal of providing wellness education and exposing students to the medical field, our two organizations have joined forces as Partners in Education so that we may best serve the future of Gordon County.”

“Gordon Hospital is committed to providing work-based learning opportunities for the students of Calhoun City Schools so that they may explore the medical profession with a hands on approach. This unique experience allows our students to discover if working within this profession is a viable option for them. The hospital also provides educational opportunities for students, parents and community members through various health education programs.”

“We are pleased to partner with Calhoun City Schools,” says Pete Weber, president and CEO of Gordon Hospital. “We look forward to working with the schools to create an excitement about healthcare and the career options that are available. We know that someday these students will be the heart of our workforce.”

“We look forward to a fruitful partnership as we continue to work with Gordon Hospital now and in the future.”
