Anita Maria White

Mrs. Anita Maria White, 66, of Calhoun, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Quinton Memorial Health Care Center in Dalton following several years of declining health.

She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 19, 1946, daughter of the late Julian and Consuela Garza Bernal. During her working years, she served as an interpreter for many local agencies.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Jerry Daniel White, to whom she was married for 47 years; four daughters, Shelia Gonzalezboello of Calhoun, Jessica Gilreath and her husband Rodney of Dahlonega, Amanda Duvall and her husband Adam, and Rosa Lynda Thomas and her husband Jeremy, all of Calhoun; three sons, Daniel White of Schertz, Texas, James White and his fiance Christy Harrison of Calhoun, and Jerry L. White and his wife Lupita of Calhoun; two brothers, Ramiro Bernal of Germany, and Luis Bernal of Nashville, N.C. Nine grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anita Maria White were conducted Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Jonathan White officiating. Pallbearers selected to serve were Bruce Bowman, Josh White, Chad Smith, Carl Bowman, Romero Ruiz, and Jose Flores. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Gilreath and Adam Duvall. Interment followed in the Fain Cemetery.

The White family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 4-9 p.m.
