Local Highlights: Stewart to compete in Fitness Olympia in Las Vegas

Hollie Stewart, an IFBB Fitness Pro, will be competing in the bodybuilding’s most prestigious competition, the Olympia on Sept. 28 in Las Vegas.

Stewart is a group fitness instructor and personal trainer at Peak Fitness in Dalton, promoter of the Anthony Stewart Memorial Bodybuilding show and owner of Expressions Dance studio in Calhoun.

Stewart's competition history includes being the NPC Georgia State Fitness Champion, winning overall in numerous NPC fitness competitions in Georgia and Alabama before turning Pro at the 2006 NPC Team Universe by winning her class as well as overall in fitness. She then went on to place in the top 15 at the Women’s World Championships in Spain. As a pro competitor, Stewart scored the highest score in the routine rounds in the Atlantic City Pro, and placed 9th at the Arnold Classic in 2007.

Stewart recently placed 3rd at the Valenti Gold Cup Pro show in Sarasota, Florida and qualified to compete in the Fitness Olympia which is the pinnacle of shows in body building. The expo features MMA fights, powerlifting, arm wrestling as well as crossfit type competitions and the Pro bodybuilding, fitness, figure, bikini and physique competitions.

The fitness category features both a physique round and a fitness routine which displays gymnastics, strength moves, flexibility and dance skills.
