Michelle was employed by Beaulieu of America and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Jimmy Dale Carter of the residence; a son, Dale Carter; a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Justin Nelson; and two brothers, Billy Wiseman and Michael Evans, all of Calhoun; three sisters, Donna Allen of Hallandale, Fla., and Christy Long and Doreena Brown, both of Calhoun; and two grandchildren, Jacob and James Nelson. Other survivors include grandmothers, Johnnie Johns and Mildred Stewart; father and step-mother, Donald and Kathy Johns; mother-in-law, Diane Carter; aunt, Betty Stapp; brother-in-law, Cecil Carter and his wife Angela; nephews, Kevin Johns, Gordon Long, and Hunter Long; and a great niece, Avah Johns.
Funeral services for Mrs. Michelle Carter will be held Thursday, September 6 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Ferguson officiating. Interment followed in the Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Shane Anderson, Gary Proctor, Richard Pack, Don Howard, Scott Williams, and Chuck Shirley. These gentlemen were requested to assemble at the funeral home Thursday at 10:15 a.m.
The Carter family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 1-9 p.m.
