Two Calhoun locals held in Floyd Co. Jail

Two Gordon County residents were arrested Thursday evening after they were suspected of shoplifting and later discovered to have cocaine, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Michael David Yates, 18, of 814 Everett Springs Road, Calhoun, and Kara Ann Hollis, 22, of 1020 Mount Olive Road, Fairmount, were charged with shoplifting after taking items valued at less that $500 from Kmart, 102 Hicks Drive.

The two were then charged with felony possession of cocaine after they were discovered with suspected cocaine.
