Georgia House, a ninth grade student at Calhoun High School, received two Awards at the GCGMA Music Awards Show held at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville Sept.2.

House received the 2012 C.D. of the Year award with her newly released CD album of “Journey with Songs.”

Georgia also received the Most Promising Vocalist of the Year award, and also entertained the crowd singing her version of “Songs Like This,” made famous by Carrie Underwood.

Several performers from other states were represented and performed along with some famous Nashville performers.
