Ardis Laurene Rabensdorf

Mrs. Ardis Laurene Rabensdorf, of Adairsville, 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 28 at her home.

She was born on July 10, 1935 in Thorp, Wis. the daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Reineke) Baures. She married Fred Rabensdorf of Fairchild, Wis. on July 6, 1953.

They moved to Madison, Wis. and then to Windsor, Wis. where she was a bookkeeper at Fred’s Electric, waitress at Maple Bluff Country Club and later they owned a Gambles Hardware store in DeForest, Wis. They moved to Georgia in 1985 where she worked as a life insurance agent for Modern Woodmen of America.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; seven children Fred, Rick, Nancy, Jane (Kendall) Frederick, Audrey

(David) Neupert, Joseph, Andrew (Holli); grandchildren; Justin, Joshua (Rabensdorf), Logan, Amanda (Rabensdorf-Miller), Adam, Benjamin, Anna (Frederick), Clara, William, Jack (Neupert), Haygen and Hollan (Rabensdorf); three sisters Dorothy (Denver) Will, Evelyn Rice, Goldine (Milo) Rappe, one brother Henry (RuthAnn) Baures, sister-in-law Bonnie Baures and many nieces and nephews.

She loved to fish, camp, travel and play games with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed canning and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Pauline Darling, brother Ben Baures and brother-in-law Arnold Rice.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
