Mr. Roberts was a member of the Salvation Army and attended the Sugar Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jean Roberts, Jr. of Calhoun, Joe and Cindi Roberts of Ocala, Fla., and Jerry and Chris Roberts of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Wayne Trundle of Ranger; three sisters, Glady Mae Roberts of Newnan, Ga., Mary Lou Taylor and Grace Jeter, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph H. and Virginia Roberts of Ft. Lauderdale; and a sister-in-law, Mary Duhame of Sebastian, Fla. Grandchildren surviving are John B. Roberts, III and his wife Olivia, Michelle Cassenauve and her husband Michael, Amanda Balkhi and her husband Syed, Chad Trundle and his wife Wendy, Jeremy Roberts, Danielle Speak and her husband Jon, Nicole Scott and her husband Lance, and Jennifer England and her husband Jeremy; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Roberts, Katie and Shawn Michael Cassenauve, Ashlyn, Brayson, and Caylon Trundle, Jasmine and Delaney Speak, Kannon and Payton England, John IV and Ryan Roberts, Corey and Shawn Creese, and Keely and Anbree Scott. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. John Bernard Roberts will be held Saturday, September 1 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Mitch Phillips, Lt. Lee Wilson, and Lt. Michelle Wilson officiating, and Wayne Trundle delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Chad Trundle, Jeremy England, Brian Taylor, John Roberts III, John Roberts IV, Michael Cassaneuve, and Jason Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are John Roberts, Jr., Joe Roberts, Jerry Roberts, and Wayne Trundle.
