Matthew Stafford is being reunited with one of his former receivers from Georgia, and one of his best off-season throwing buddies.

The Detroit Lions signed receiver Kris Durham, a former Calhoun High standout, to the practice squad today. Durham was waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. He was a fourth-round pick by Seattle in the 2011 NFL Draft.

A 6-foot-5, 216-pound receiver, Durham caught three passes in three games for the Seahawks last year. He and Stafford work out together occasionally in the offseason.

Durham was a multiple time member of the Rome News-Tribune All-Area Team during his high school career at Calhoun, and was named the Class AA Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 by the Georgia Sportswriters Association.

In his senior year, he helped the Jackets make an appearance in the Class AA State championship game.

The Lions have signed six players to their eight-man practice squad so far: Durham, receiver Patrick Edwards, linebacker Carmen Messina, offensive guard Rodney Austin, cornerback Ross Weaver and running back Stephfon Green.
