Many gathered at the Pets R Us/Animal Rescue League of Northwest Georgia Adoption Event to show support for the cause. Guests arrived as early as 9:30 a.m. in anticipation for the event to start.
The local rescue group set up canopies, chairs, kennels and play pens for several dogs at Pets R Us in hopes to find the rescues their forever homes. After six hours of searching for pet parents, four lovely fur babies found loving homes.
All dogs were walked and played with throughout the event and although not every pet found an owner, every dog enjoyed hands on attention with many members of the community.
Several donations were also contributed to the ARL of NWGA along with monetary donations from Pets R Us and local citizens.
“We would love to partner with the Animal Rescue League again in the future,” says Lisa Holloman, owner of Pets R Us. “We feel the event was a grand success.”
