She has served the organization as a building contact and been active in the group’s legislative activities. As a student, she earned a PAGE scholarship which helped her complete her Master’s degree in English at Kennesaw State University.
Prior to entering the field of education, De Guire worked for several years in the computer industry as a writer, trainer and editor.
De Guire will represent PAGE’s Seventh District, a 20 county region in Northwest Georgia. The election took place earlier this summer during the group’s summer conference.
PAGE, the state’s largest organization for professional educators, is an independent association of more than 83,000 teachers, administrators and support personnel members providing professional learning to enhance competence and confidence, build leadership and increase student achievement.
