Dr. Brittney Wilson, Assistant Principal and CTAE Director for Calhoun City Schools, joined other CTAE colleagues from the Northwest Georgia RESA service area at the 65th annual GACTE Summer Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA on July 15-18, 2012.

The leadership panel presented their CTAE best practices and highlights in career and technical education.

Dr. Wilson spoke on the power of partnerships and how to implement effective business and community partnerships through advisory boards and partners in education. In addition, she gave information on the job seminar event held last spring for Calhoun High School students through a partnership with the Gordon County Camber of Commerce.

Approximately 2,400 educators participated in this year’s conference titled “Education and Economic Development Summit.”
