With the beginning of school on the horizon for students in Calhoun and Gordon County, registration for new students is underway for some schools.

Today is the last day for new students entering elementary schools in Gordon County to register before school starts on Aug. 9. Registration will end at 3 p.m. today.

New middle school students in Gordon County can register on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

New Sonoraville students can register on July 31 and Aug.1 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. New Gordon Central students can register on Aug. 1 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

All registration is done at the respective schools for Gordon County students.

Calhoun City Schools begin a week of registration on Monday, July 30 through Friday, Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eastside Campus, located a 380 Barrett Road in Calhoun. Class opens for Calhoun City students on Aug. 16.
