Charlotte was born January 21, 1931, daughter of the late Ray Prater and Mary Jo Lewis Prater. Also, she was preceded in death by her husband, Utah Knight, a daughter Holli Knight, and an infant daughter, Joanne Knight. She was employed for many years at Calhoun First National Bank, and was a member of the Meadowdale Baptist Church
Charlotte is survived by one son, David Knight and his wife, Rhonda; one grandson, Brandon Knight and his wife, Jeni; two great granddaughters, Sulli and Jasper Knight; a dear friend, Christine Wallace; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 8 at the Meadowdale Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Pearson officiating. Travis Stephens, Ronnie Van Dyke, Angie Childers, Faye Bentley, Trey and Andrew Bentley had charge of music, burial followed in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers served included, Ronald Pearson, Edward Boswell, Jerry Hufstetler, Doug Massingill, Randy Seabolt, Mark Waters, Zack Waters, and Zeke Waters.
The family received friends from 5:-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
