Mark A. Hogan, age 43 of the Plainview Community, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Gordon Hospital.

Mark was born on July 5, 1968 in Floyd County. Son of Larry Amos Hogan and Sara Lou Frix. He was a member and deacon of Agape Baptist Church and was employed by Ingle’s Grocery.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: His wife, Pamela Erwin Hogan. Two sons; Will and Connor Hogan all of the Plainview Community. Father and Mother-in-law, Nevin and Anita Erwin. One sister, Lynn Hendrix. One sister-in-law, Laura Heacox and her husband Shawn of Macon. Two nieces; Rachel and Olivia Heacox of Macon. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday, July 4 at 2 p.m. from Agape Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Childs and the Reverend Jason Parker officiating. Burial followed in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving included; Rodney Gilreath, Roger Gilreath, Al Frix, Tim Frix, Stephen Frix, Terry Frix, Jerry Frix and Kevin Walraven.

Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Ingles Supermarket.

The family received friends on Tuesday, July 3 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Will & Conner Hogan education fund.
