Wally's Friends Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic is coming back to Gordon County on Wednesday, June 27 and Thursday, June 28. Wally’s Friends is a non-profit clinic whose mission is to dramatically impact the numbers of unwanted animals destroyed in shelters and starving on the street by high volume low cost spay and neuter. Heritage Baptist Church will be having VBS beginning Sunday, June 24 – 28 beginning 6 p.m. A free meal will be served each night. We will go on a Bug Zone adventure-learning how God transforms us. Vacation Bible School at the Broken Heart Ranch, 151 Cooper Road Calhoun, Ga. 30701, will be June 27 through June 29. Everyone is welcome. Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks are expected. VBS begins at 6 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.
ShugART studio in Resaca offers art lessons for ages 18 and up for $12 dollars a class, and ages 5-17 for $11 a class. Discount rates for home-schooled children up to age 18 and seniors 60 plus for $10 per class. If two children from the same family, there is $1 dollar deducted per child.
