Sergeant First Class Henry Wyatt, World War II Veteran and son-in-law First Sergeant Bo Jordan. Wyatt wore his hat representing the unit he fought with in WWII. Jordan spoke of the responsibility to defend the American Flag today and the spirit of defense, men and women have served to keep the flag flying.

Boy scouts of Troop 39 retrieve the flag at the annual Gordon County Flag Day ceremony, hosted by the Elks Lodge 1883, outside the Gordon County courthouse in downtown Calhoun, Thursday, June 14. The troop retrieved the flag, passed it off to Gordon County Sheriff Deputies to ceremoniously fold; each fold representing a characteristic of the American people.
