Calhoun man killed in car crash

Mike "Michael" Allen Holloway, of Calhoun, was involved in a fatal car wreck at the intersection of State Road 225 and Craigtown Rd at 5:10 p.m., in Gordon County, Wednesday, June 13, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

Holloway was traveling North on Newtown Rd. when he failed to yield to the right-of-way, and was struck by another vehicle.

Holloway was struck on his left side and ejected from the vehicle, according to GSP reports. The vehicle then rolled on top of Holloway after he was ejected, and he died at the scene of the crash.
